On June 29th 2019 A friend invited to do a lost ring hunt in Lincoln Rhode Island. No details about it was given at the time. I accepted and I agree to meet Walter Ostrowski, Alan Golder, and Scott Disnard at the Dunkin Donuts by the Lincoln Mall. From there the four of us travelled to a house where the ring was lost. We arrived and waited for the lady approximately 10 mins to arrive there from work. When she showed up the four of us listened intently as filled us in on the story of how this beautiful early 1900s home was the sight of her wedding in September 2018 and her son, the ring bearer, lost the ring somewhere between the car and when going to the bride and groom. i immediately knew the ring wouldn't be that deep since it was only lost like 9 months. My first target was a rose tag, the second was a pull tab, third was a modern quarter, and bingo fourth one was the ring it was barely covered with dirt. I called over to the lady and said "maam I do believe I found it” She jumped up came running over and I held the ring in my closed hand and said" Please hold your hand out", when she did i dropped it in her hand and immediately her eyes got as big as saucers. She said "OMG I THOUGHT THIS RING WAS LOST FOREVER!!" Her eyes teared up as she had a huge smile on her face and she started jumping up and down.. She kept saying," my husband is not going to believe this". She gave me a hug and her smile was ear to ear. This is what our hobby is all about, the awesome feeling of finding a ring, the joy it gave to a new bride and the warmth in my heart for reuniting someone with a lost memento. All of this happened within 20 minutes of arriving at the site. The CTX3030 struck gold and won the heart of a new bride all in one swing. Thank you Minelab for making such a great machine and bringing joy to the hearts of so many people.
