I was turning 39 on July 31st and I was having a real depressing day. So I went and did one of the things that keep me going: metal detecting. I grabbed my brother and my CTX 3030 and we drove around forever pointing out spots but we never got out. There was always some reason, so for hours we drove and it was aggravating watching my bday roll by remembering the days when bdays were fun. We finally went to a local park we don’t like going to because everyone in the area who ever tried a detector ran straight there. I was not out the truck 5 min when I got a jumpy signal between 12;46 and 1;31 back and forth. I call that the silver dance so I dug in and out pops a 1908 barber half dollar. My first ever! I have been dying to pull a barber half and I got it on my bday. It turned my whole day around and I was back to the old happy me.
Thanks Minelab you gave me my best present that day: my sanity back plus a sweet barber.
