On may 17, 2020 I was metal detecting in a cane field where a old plantation use to sit! So I am walking the rows slipping and sliding because we just had a bad rain fall day before , and it was very muddy! Well about half hour in the hunt I swing over a big climb of mudd and my 800 hit a high tone, I bent down and pushed some mud away , and there was a jar bottom up! So I wiped the mud from the bottom and there I saw was old seated half dollar!! I started shaking saying to my self no way no way!! So I carefully pulled the jar from the mud, a wiped has much has I could from the jar but was full of mud inside and out! So I put it in my bag and headed back to my car! Drove to my buddy’s house and we cleaned out the jar to find 47 silver coins from the 1700’s , and 1800’s!!! I will never forget this day and till this day it’s the most silver I have ever found and most bucket list coins I ever found!!
