First Spanish silver!

17 Jun 2019

I had recently gained permission from a lady to search the yard of her 1700’s log house. She mentioned there are a few guys that search the yard or have searched it in the past, but I was still welcomed to look around. I spent a few hours there, I wasn’t finding much besides a handful of wheat cents, and then I got a 24/25 vdi signal on my equinox 800, and ended up digging up my first colonial Spanish silver, a 1781 half reale! I also found a 1770’s king George iii half-penny that was in terrible shape. Still plenty of yard left and am looking forward to going back to see what else the equinox can unearth for me!
