Worth the rain and wind

18 Oct 2020

So one friday morning I decided to take my equinox 600 for a spin , was in two minds if to go our not as the weather was wet and very wind but I hit the fields . As the hours past by and only a few george copper coins and the weather was getting worse I still carried on digging and the I got a nice tone signal I'd was steady sixteen and about 10in deep so I dug the plug out and identified where the target was and there it was a silver heart pendant with some of the gold guild still on the artifact so after gently clean I could see a I H R wich baffled me as never came across before , so I put it in my finds pouch and carried on for about another hour then headed home . Later that night I decided to do some research and found that the IHR was christogram meaning jesus christ dating from late medieval to early tudor so then I knew I had found a treasure piece wich to my surprise as was thinking maybe Georgian or victorian so I reported my find to the flo as it came under the treasure act I'm still waiting but I do no that it was a silver devotional heart pendant this is my second treasure find in just a few weeks as I had bronze age axe hoard a couple weeks before . The more I learn equinox I'm finding more and more hitting good targets .
