Metal detecting today on a farm where a couple of weeks ago I discovered a Scottish hammered coin if William the Lion from the 1100s. On that day I also found a world war Two welsh military hat badge.

This hobby certainly surprises you when your not expecting it,, I tried the next field over today from the other discoveries using the EQUINOX 800 to my shock and amazement I dug something unusual, a German coin from World War II, The 50 Reichspfennig coin was minted by Nazi Germany between 1939 and 1944 during World War II. It is worth 1/2 or .50 of a Reichsmark. Made entirely of aluminum, the 50 Reichspfennig is an emergency issue type, similar to the zinc 1, 5, and 10 Reichspfennig coins from the same period. Not what your expecting after finding british war items a couple weeks earlier, I love this hobby , and minelab equipment,
