Hello, My name is Frank Jr. And I’m 12, my dad took me out metal detecting for the 2nd time with the vanquish 540 that he bought and let me us, my Dad uses an Equinox 800, anyway he took me to this school not to far from where we live and has been there since 1885, my dad got the vanquish all set up for me and I headed off into the grass, I was getting some pretty low tones and the this high tone hit the machine like a ton of brick, I did the 360 turn around it and the tone never changed . I decided to dig it up and seen that it was very shiny, I called my dad over and showed him, I pulled it out of the dirt and seen it was a silver ring. It is the first silver ring I’ve ever found metal detecting. My dad researched it and found out that it’s a late 1800 to early 1900s one of a kind ring. It was definitely a top pocket find as Gary Drayton would say.
