Where to begin, my name is Matt Thompson a long time Minelab user who is member of the Relic Dirtyhands team, as a father nothing is better then seeing your kids show interest in something you do, my son Noah would be in awe with the things I would bring home from my adventure, a few years ago he received a gofind detector, he was hooked, I would throw handfuls of pennies in our yard and he would spend the afternoon finding them. As time went on he would tag along to farm feilds and old homes with me and help me on my recoveries, the bug was set he was hooked...
We recently purchased him a Vanquish 540 (I myself swing a CTX 3030 and Equinox 800) so I knew he would be able to grow into these machines.
Tonight was his maiden voyage out of our backyard after weeks of practice he was ready, I took him to a school down the road and gave him some pointer and reminded him to go slow and overlap, right off the bat he hit a penny he told me where to dig the plugs and I did, he would use the pinpointed and find the targets, on the 3rd hole he managed to find a ring with a small dove on it, in his 4th hole he found a bit of a silver chain,He is 100% hooked now
Thank you for allowing me to share my hobby with my son, for making a high caliber machine he can understand
