A while back I picked up a few cheap metal detectors for my 2 boys (11yo and 8yo), but it was me who became hooked. Since I live in the Philippines, I went straight to the top with a Minelab Excalibur II as my first detector. Here are a few months’ results of leisurely beach detecting in the Philippines. Thanks for such a great fun hobby! I love my Excalibur and its broken knobs! :)
