I purchased after watching down south detecting a used Minelab E-TRAC my 2nd detector my wife bought me for Christmas and I caught the bug. So one of my goals was to find a coin from the 1800's did not matter what coin just wanted to find one. One day while passing a firehouse near where I live the doors were open so I went in and asked if I could detect the huge field behind it the chief said sure no problem. Went home grabbed the E-Trac within 5 minutes I dug up a rotted pocket watch and was really happy I found something that cool. About a hour later of digging cans and tabs I dug what I thought was going to be more trash and was in shock when I saw a large coin or button I started wiping and noticed it was a coin so I wiped more carefully. I thought I saw a date so was cleaning that area and started shaking it was a 1814 large cent I just sat there looking at it. Some people from a park nearby came over because I had not moved in 15 minutes to make sure I was ok. I just showed them the coin then texted my wife. I had only detected total with etrac maybe 10 hours I could not believe I this. I found so early in my detecting talk with others some have never dug one others say it took years so I got lucky. In Jan. of 2020 I bought a Equinox 600 for water work but will never let go of my E-trac. Thanks all hope you liked my story of my greatest find to date.
