My story started on the last day of 2019 Anyway my friend ask me if l fancied meeting up on a permission that we have got, so after meeting up and deciding where we wanted to start detecting, machines switched on and off we went, within 10 minutes of detecting l had a crisp signal (16/17) registered on the my Equinox 800 and dug down and emptied the soil to the side of the hole, the item was still in the hole, so l took another spade of soil from the hole and staring back at me was a gold coloured disc with a cross on, well the long and short of it all was l had found an Edward the Confessor silver penny and gilded on one side and made into a brooch happy days and a great way to finish off 2019
