Searching on a new sheep pasture permission I got a strong signal showing maximum depth. I dug down and at a depth of almost 10 inches I pulled out a Saxon lead nummular brooch. Considering it’s been in the ground since the 10th century it’s in fantastic condition. It’s going to be handed in to be recorded on the antiquities database.
