Out Metal Detecting with my club in Derbyshire with the Minelab Vanquish 540, other detectorists raced off across the fields but that is not my style as i had got a quarter way across the field and had been happily digging lots of small pieces of lead and buttons as they give off such a good signals, some of the guys were on the way back saying there wasn’t anything on the field, the Vanquish picked up a signal jumping between 22 and 24 i dig about 4 inches and there is a silver George III 1819 Silver Sixpence.. (Nothing on the Field) a few more buttons and lead dug and the another 15 tone.. Dug about 3 inches and Medieval Hammered coin.. But nothing on the field... a while later and now raining hard once again and signal jumping between 28-30 I dig the target and out comes an 1853 Victoria Silver Shilling. If you getting signals there is something on the fields... Thanks Minelab for the VANQUISH find the stuff others choose to miss. Steven – Scotland, UK
