I've been in the metal detecting hobby for over 60 years.Started out with a cheap Relco and owned multiple brands and models since then. I enjoyed using everyone of them. All of them would find stuff.Some better than others. I've owned several Minelabs in the past and now own an EQUINOX 600. I didnt need an 800 because I didn't need the bells and whistles for my type of hunting. At my age now I wanted a light deep machine and this is the one I chose to use at this time. I have found specks of small silver(shallow) and many items that were larger much deeper. i have permission to hunt land here that has been lived on by early settlers,indians, and fur traders.Some of this is civil war period.There was a battle fought less than a mile from this property. here is small sample of what I find here.
