Location lost but not forgotten

01 Nov 2019

Ten years ago my cousin buried a jewellery box in her parent’s back yard. It contained some gold pendants that she wanted to forget. As the years passed she forgot the location and her father place a concrete mowing strip over the site without realizing what lay below. While chatting about metal detecting she told me the story of the lost treasure. She decided that it was time to take back the items so asked for my help. With my trusty X-TERRA 505 we embarked on a two hour hunt. Once located we had to dig under the concrete. The box was in pretty good shape but was very soggy. By far my best hunt yet. How much more treasure lies waiting in people’s backyards? Let the hunt begin!
