My story is not what you would consider a SUCCESS story containing Gold and Treasure. It's more of a story of compassion. I was out detecting on Saturday near a swim beach here in Colorado with my brand new Minelab Equinox 800. It was the virgin hunt. I came across this high tone of 29-30 and immediately thought it was a Quarter so I started to dig it up. I kept using my pin pointer and it just kept getting deeper and deeper. I immediately noticed that what was in there appeared to have a flat round top. I was curious so I dug it up. I was surprised when what I dug up was a small 6 inch beautiful blue urn with paw prints painted on the metal surface. It did not have a name on it. I realized that I had disturbed this little guys resting place which was unintentional of course. So I said a quick little prayer for him/her and carefully re-buried it where it had come from. I tell you that most Knuckleheads out there would have probably opened it just to see what was inside or they would have kept it. Who knows. Anyway, it's back where it belongs in a beautiful spot near the lake. I just wanted to share this story with you guys.
