If these sidewalks could talk

03 Apr 2019

On Sundays, my son goes to religious school, giving me a few hours to detect. Near the school is an old neighbourhood with a lot of sidewalk strips. Every time I would drive past them I would say to my son how I should detect them sometime. Last Sunday, I finally decided it was time. It wasn't long before I hit a solid 17 signal that screamed dig me. I have never been happier to see the Lincoln Memorial come out of the ground. At first I thought it was just an oversized replica clad penny. Then I saw the back. I'd found a 1937 Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree token, from the world’s first National Jamboree!
