Hell Yea!

03 May 2020

I was detecting northern Nevada during late summer last year. The area is dry, desolate desert with scattered quartz, sage brush, wild horses and a few Jackrabbits. I had been searching for 5 hours with no success in an area on the slopes of a mountain. I got a low, positive signal indicating a target. As I dig deeper the signal became louder and louder. At around 10 inches I knew I had a good target, as the signal was screaming now. Finally at 18 inches, on bedrock, I got the target out of the ground in my scoop. My eyes immediately saw the colour of shiny gold. Hell Yea! I said. Beautiful 9 gram solid gold nugget. My day was complete.
