Spent most of day on a turf field in lincolnshire found a hammered coin and a few roman grots and last signal of the day as walking off the field only 2 inch deep and was rewarded with what i thought was a aluminium bird ring but closer inspection revealed lord sheffield so must be silver found it a few months ago and now at the british museum going through the treasure trove sequance ,most likely from the 1600s not sure what type of hawk its from until i hear from the bm thanks all.
