This past weekend I was out for my first water hunt of the year with a friend Rod Yeomans.. We were not having much luck for the the first couple of hours and we’re just about to call it quits until we stumbled onto an area roughly 20’x20’ littered with 1700’s coins.. We found 12 in total. Pictured are my finds which include a 1786 New Jersey Colonial Copper! Also found that day was a 1780s American Ireland regiment volunteers button (Rod’s find) and a few musket balls.. I can’t help but wonder how all those coins ended up there... Best hobby in the world!!
