I decided to go to a place in Appleton, Wis. I have metal detected quite often, but seeing it was the 4th of July and rain was forecasted for the afternoon, I wanted to stay close to home. I was finding quite a bit of clad before I unearthed a silver ring. Not too long after the ring came up, I had a solid 34 on my Equinox 800 and at about 10 inches deep, out popped this 1907S Barber half dollar. My wife was with me and grabbed my phone from the car so I could take a picture. There's nothing quite like seeing big silver, especially on the 4th of July. Mike Counter
