It was the first time out with the new GPX 5000. My son and I had just had a full day training as it was the first time detecting. We hadn’t found gold at the training area and we were wanting to just find any size nugget. We were driving home from Bendigo, Vic and needed a break so we pulled over and my son said lets try here in the drain near Dunolly. I said why not. It was only about 5 minutes and we had a hit. I thought it was going to be nail and shot. My son was so excited he found the first piece with the new machine. I gave the nugget back to him and he was that excited he dropped it.
