Daniel Spencer the field reporter for The Searcher Magazine has found what is reported to be the EQUINOX's first UK gold stater find. The Catuvellauni Andoco Gold Quarter Stater from 20BC-1AD was found in an area where a lot of coke was present. This may attribute to the fact that other Detectorists walked straight over the coin during the day without it registering on their machines. The EQUINOX had no trouble picking this small gold coin out of the difficult soil.
