I bought my EQUINOX just few days ego mainly because I wanted to try metal detecting in water (I was always detecting for relics inland before) and first time when I was switching the machines, I was shocked... As with my previous detectors I took EQUINOX 600 to my good old 'hunted out' and iron infested site where I tested previously 3 other metal detectors just to learn it. Last time I was there about 2 weeks ego with previous VLF machine where I checked different frequencies - I found one coin and struggled to do it. Today I started detecting and Boom first target - old 17th century very small and thin copper coin, then few meters and an old 19th century military button and so on and so on. Beside visible in pictures coins and buttons in 3 hours I found many big lead fragments and other low conductors, which missed before. I was shocked because I was metal detecting this site from 10 years now and found there a ton of targets and now I was feeling like I was there first time. I think that for single VLF machines those targets was just too deep or too thin in iron vicinity. After that i go to the place where the old house foundations are and in the ground there are a lot of old bricks (which are highly mineralized and they are corrupting the good targets signals)... and I dig out 2 big old 18th and 19th copper coins. I really feel that my hunted out sites was bring back to life :)
