It was a cold and overcast breezy morning when I got to my farmers field in Deepest Dorset. I had been detecting for a couple of hours only finding the odd button a s a George v penny, I stopped for a short break and decided to have a thither half hour detecting.
It was a strong signal showing 21/22 on the vdi, out popped my first hammered coin wow I could believe it an Charles the 1st shill ING I was flabbergasted, then another signal and another coin this time a half crown!! The signals kept coming in all I had 234 silver coins ranging from Edward VI, Elizabeth Ist, James 1st and Charles 1st.
What a day I will never forget and found using my EQUINOX 800 what a brilliant find of a lifetime.
