I was using my Excalibur II w/ Nel Tornado search coil, on land, in a forested area close to a river, not far from the ocean. This spot is an abandoned amusement park. And out of the dirt not even an inch down, was a 1917-S Mercury Dime, in great condition (all details of rim and wreath still visible: It was a good day, it always is especially when silver jumps out of the ground at you!
