I purchased a used Minelab Explorer II 20 years ago. I had to borrow the money from my Dad and pay him back. Since then I’ve swung that machine for countless hours in every condition imaginable. I have used it in the extreme heat, bitter cold, knee deep mud, and briars so thick you have to crawl to get the coil on the ground. Through it all I’ve seen friends buy countless machines from every company in the market. The only constant over time has been me and the Explorer II, routinely out producing the newer “latest and greatest machine” the next guy had. I’ll never get rid of my Explorer II, but given my experience with Minelab’s consistent and dependable performance, I can assure you that I’ll only ever swing a Minelab.
