I received a call earlier this week out of the blew from a lady who explained she received my number from a gentlemen whose property i had detected and asked if i could help her recover part of her lost coin collection that was lost when her house burned down. I offered to help her and set up a time to meet with her at the property. When i met her she asked what i would charge to do the detecting i said nothing i was just hoping to help her recover her lost belongings and didnt want to take advantage of her unfortunate situation. She showed me where she thought the coins would be where she found some where the attic feel onto the second floor. I determined with all the targets around my 6” coil for my CTX would be my best option so i put it on and got to work. I worked thru the rubble for 2-1/2 hrs and recovered all the coins and coin books in the photo attached. The lady was very grateful and offered me the access to detect the property anytime i want. I plan on doing so soon since this was part of the original farm on this site and predates 1870 looking forward to hitting the fields but today was glad to recover all i could for her.
