Brushed For Success

12 Jan 2021

I’ m a gold prospector by location living in the Golden Triangle of Victoria and on my December holiday to Perth Western Australia, I was encouraged by my nephew to bring my Equinox 800 which did folded up nicely into my suitcase for travel. My Nephew took me relic hunting to his favourite location of an old school site outside of Beverley some hundred kilometres from Perth. The day was over 30 degrees Celsius and dusty but the trusty Equinox was purring along nicely in a field believed to be trashed, when I kicked aside leaf litter build up around the base of a large tree and scanned around receiving a loud signal of 38 and dig down to find a dry, dirt coated copper item that when cleaned up at home, presented as the coolest relic found to date - what I believe to be a hair brush perhaps nineteenth century and part of a mirror and brush set.
