I recently bought my very first detector, at first I wanted to just get something cheap around $100. But after a some consideration of quality and function I decided to find a more reputable company (mind you im green as they come to the hobby) i found Minelab. After some research I came to the conclusion that they are one of the best when it comes to detectors. Then I found the Vanquish, I was surprised to find such a quality machine for the price and with a respectable company's name attached to it. I went on a couple hunts with it and found some modern age change with it and of course some scrape also. But on my third time out I found maybe a once I a lifetime find a 1834 capped bust .25, and a 1832 capped bust .50
