My husband and I bought our Equinox 800 detectors around two years ago for treasure hunting around the Central Goldfields in Victoria, Australia. As lockdown lifted for Melbourne this month, we wasted no time heading back out to find more relics and hopefully our first coins. On day one of our weekend we set our detectors to the Field 1 setting and split up to start our day. Within an hour my husband yelled out for me to come over as he'd found two small gold nuggets. They kept coming for the next couple of hours. In total we uncovered just over 69 grams of gold from a 5 square meter section of ground at a depth of around 20cm. I think it's safe to say we've been hit with a bit of gold fever. We still can't quite believe it! - Christine and Stuart
