A stunning Edward IV groat unearthed with the EQUINOX 800

08 Oct 2018

I was attending a southern seekers dig in Salisbuyry where I’m a admin to the club. The night before I was checking the maps and noticed two of the fields we had ran alongside the main Avon river. I had a gut feeling there was something near the river, I thought someone would have gone down to the river at some point of time, I worked my way over to the right hand side of the field and it was like a dream come true, my first signal was a stunning Edward IV second reign London mint Groat mm55 Spink 2096. It was around 7 inches deep and it is in amazing condition, I carried on working along side the river, a few hammered coins were found by other members, I only found the hammered coin but it was worth it. 😎
