All the great finds I have been seeing are giving me serious gold envy. So much that I could not wait until the weekend to get out again despite how busy work is.
I decided to hit a northern beach before work. Since it was high tide but slowly beginning to fall I decided to work the high tide line. I was getting the occasional penny, nickel, dimes and quarters and plenty of foil. I love and hate those 12.02 numbers. I pulled some gold colored foil too, Ah well. keep going.. Another 12.02-12.04. Ugh more foil, I think to myself.
I dig out a scoop and it is no longer in the hole, dumped it out and gave the sand a kick.. Looks like more gold foil..... I lean down to pick it up and that's when I realize it isn't foil at all. In fact, It's my very first Gold chain!! Still clasped, pendant and all! Must have come right over their head when getting hit by waves. Stamped 750=18K weighing in at 4.6 grams.
What a great way to end the gold drought!
