Hi my name is Ross Clarke. I have been detecting for the past 23 years. As my old detector was finding very little, just over a week ago at 73 years of age, I decided to buy myself a new Equinox 800 from the Miners Den store at Parramatta. Sally from Miners Den was extremely helpful in explaining the technology of the newer detector. With this knowledge I went to a local beach, which had just recently been pounded by big seas and in 3 days I came home with over $120 in coins. The sad part about it was I had to leave coins behind in the sand as I could only work for one and half hours each day at the low tide mark because the tides were coming back in quickly on the change. My prize find was a silver ring and of all things a small toy Tonka truck in pristine condition buried deep in the wet sand. I am extremely happy with my new Equinox 800 it has given me a new lease of life to continue treasure hunting. I'm putting my find towards buying a 6 inch Minelab coil, which will hopefully help me find some golden treasure in the future.
