1783 Pistareen Colonial Farm Field

26 Mar 2020

I received an invite from a couple close friends whom I detect with often. We all share permissions as often as we can. The location we all went to was a farm field here in south western Pennsylvania, they had dug about 10 KG coppers the weekend before so we were all excited to get back there the following week as you can imagine. I was swinging my Minelab Equinox 800 Park1 and got a small high tone chirp in what was a mix of iron, and some hot rocks. The VDI was very intermittently with the small high tone coming in here and there at 24-27. I was digging everything because we knew it was a great location. I dug my target not expecting much as the signal was not great, certainly didn’t sound like a coin signal. Popped the plug and when I saw cut silver I threw down my pin pointer and did a "KG and "Ringy" up the hill! I just pointed at the hole and told my hunting partners Bob and Jody to look in the hole! Wow what a find Im so thankful to my friends for the invite.... Found on March 8th 2020 by Louis Swidowski in SW Pennsylvania with an Equinox 800 and allot of persistence!
