You never know what you will dig up

The Detect America crew was out on an ordinary Sunday. We were detecting a field we have hit a few seasons in a row. When I get a solid 12-46. I reached into the hole and scooped a few more hand fulls of dirt and a copper was pulled. This copper looked like any other copper. Crusty and thick. A little tooth brushing revealed a center ring of chain.... OMG what the heck is this.... We all said chain cent. Needless to say the Minelab CTX 3030 sniffed out another bucket lister. The coin was a 1793 US Chain Cent the first coins that were struck for circulation by the US mint. Doc
