Ed Bandlow, MDJ International I am a dealer in minerals and fossils, and when I got a tip on a location where native copper could be found I made a field trip there, but I couldn’t find anything. So, I went to my friend, who is a Minelab dealer, and he set me up with a Vanquish 540 and a Pro-Find 35. It was a Friday, and he took me to a coin shooting location for 2 hours of training. I left there, made the 3 hour drive to “copper creek,” and spent the night in my car. That weekend, on my very first solo Minelab hunt, I found enough float copper to more than pay for my Minelab equipment, and there is still a lot of float copper there to be found.
