My friend Truan Asked me to go detecting on his permission near the village he lives in, I was working in the area so I thought I’d take my equinox 800 and digging gear with me and head over to his house after work. We got to the land and Truan said first one to find a roman coin.. I said oh u think you can take on the Viking queen, After detecting for an hour or so neither of us had a found a roman coin, we had a few bits of broken roman artefacts but still no coin, We moved on to the next field, and it started raining really bad my hands was frizzing but i had a perfect tone so i began to dig, It was 6 inch down and i still couldn’t find it I managed to pinpoint my target and after another inch my target was out. The mud was covering my hands and I couldn't see my targe so I used the Minelab 34 to locate my find, to my surprise I wiped clean a tiny coin, I didn't recognise I’d never seen one before, Truan came over and told me the coin was a Venice soldino leonardo loredan. With that find it was game over Victory for the Viking queen. Great day out yet again with my Equinox 800 .
