Whenever you think you’re best hunting grounds are depleted, remember that the storm is your friend. The landscape is constantly moving overtime when exposed to the elements. Rain and wind move tons of sediment every year and we hardly notice. This movement gives way to discovering new targets and new gold. In the Sierra Nevada foothills of California where I commonly detect; I was surprised to find 2 large gold nuggets in the same place I had detected just a month earlier. A large rain storm moved enough new material for me to finally find these two nuggets. Always search depleted spots after a storm, It just may pay huge!
