The call was to try and find a wedding band made from grandparents rings and passed down to the first grandchild, that had been lost in a farm dam During an afternoon swim at the annual family new year celebrations at the beginning of 2011. The dam had been emptied end of February 2012 for a complete revamp after being full of water for over 70 years. I was to see if I could find it before the bulldozers moved in! On arrival and seeing the size of the dam I was not too hopeful. The floor area of the dam was about 80x60 meters and very muddy. Donning my boots I decided to start in the middle and work in a box configuration making it bigger and bigger until I got to the outer edge of the dam. My machine of choice was my trusty Excalibur 1000.
