I received the 15 inch coil for my EQUINOX yesterday. Thank you to Crawford’s for sending so we could both get out today 4.11.18 with the new 15 inch coil.. We are invited by a friend Randy Dee to try the 15 on one of his Roman sites, which had been done to death over the past years. He also has a Noxie with the 15 now. After an hour or so spoke to Randy, he had 8 roman bronzes bloody hell I had 2 lol. I was walking back to the car for lunch and got a nice 2way 31 deep hhhuumm . Pin pointed the 15 pinpoints nicely to the centre. Dug down the depth of my JR Stainless spade .Still in the hole .By this time Randy and my son Kev with his Deus came over. The Deus got nothing ????? Randy said it's there to the side .So I dug another 3/4 inch with my hand tool .Popped it on the side looked a glint of silver caught my eye .I didn’t dare look so picked it up and handed it to Randy still in the muck . WHAT he said a lovely silver Denarius Vespiasian id'ed over lunch .Avery early roman silver 69/79 AD .My first Roman silver at a depth of around 11/12 inch on an area Kevin has hammered with his Deus .As well as all of us detecting the area previously . I was speechless a first for me lol. Find such a lovely coin . I wonder what the person was like that dropped it .This always go through my mind I also found a few nice bronze Roman coins .And a gorgeous Fibular brooch with enamel on . The 15 mopped up with my finds and Randy found a staggering 22 Roman bronze coils. Randy commented best coil he has had in 40 years of detecting. He is the tender age of 76 and still an animal when it comes to detecting lol. Well done Minelab in producing a fantastic coil for a fantastic machine. It's on mine and will not be coming off. My setting, Field 1 ,37GB, 5T, AM,IRON BIAS 4, recovery 2 . What a day .
