I’m writing this for my mate George who I have been detecting with . He had a shocking old 1980s detector and as a equinox 800 user I convinced him to get a multi frequency machine and he purchased the Vanquish. We had done alright detecting an old site where all the coins were pre 1860s, several old George 3 rd silvers and pennies. George thought the site was done but I told him there will still be a couple of coins here but there going to be harder to find ! Sure enough George plugged away with a few more return visits and digging more iffy signals. He found those couple of extra coins and on his last visit and sure enough with what must of been the last coin on the site he dug a 15 on the Vanquish and out popped 1846 Half Sovereign Gold Coin.
