Sometimes the last minute short hunts are the best ones.

03 Mar 2021

Decided to do some digging at a 1799 farm after work one evening, this spot was heavily hunted before me getting permission to detect there. I had found some nice stuff there in the past, knew there had to be something left somewhere. I decided to turn up my recovery speed to 7 and see what I could squeeze out. I was getting a choppy 19vdi and about 7-8” down was this beautiful 1854 seated liberty half dime, the second half dime I had found on this property (the other being a worn down 1838) I am very happy with the condition of this coin, also found a 1898 Indian head penny a nice decorative shank button, and a 1911/1917 wheat cents.
