Silver, big or small, the Nox finds it all.

19 Sep 2020

This month on three different days, in three separate locations in North Nottinghamshire, these three silver coins succumbed to to the power of the Equinox 800. The first out using Field 1 setting was this nice Edward 1 penny (yet do be fully identified). Found at about 4" deep in a field that has been extensively detected.

The second out was this lovely Elizabeth 1st. sixpence (minted between 1573 & 1578). This was on a field that was being heavily detected with excavations all around. I set the machine to 4khz for the first time, it gave a lazy but positive 25-32 signal and I dug nearly 14" to find this, much to my surprise.

The third coin was this tiny farthing of possibly Edward 111, yet to be fully identified. This came up from from between 6" and 8" on Field 1 setting and was hiding very well in the loose soil but was finally located with the aid of my Pro-Find.

The Equinox 800 gives me the confidence to go on any location, previously detected or not and to be sure to locate finds. Big or small.
