Hit a local park with some partners on 04 March 2013. Started feeling left out after one pulled a gold ring and then (only a few feet apart) both hit another ring each (junkers but sill nice finds!) and I still had nothing more than clad and TONS of pull tabs and can slaw but knew I was digging the right targets (damn if some of those pull tabs and small foil pieces don't SOUND like GOLD.....) so I wasn't too discouraged.
Patience finally paid off and I got a nice LOW tone and a reading of 115 on Ron's 180 meter. (using it on the Sovereign GT with the 5" coil) and, BAM! There she was!
1.5 g/14k gold with a "XXXX" design on it. Also found a bunch of clad for gas money! Great day at the park!
