Found a nice hoard of groats / half groats. Old story, heading back to the car when I hit the first, then second, then another on the surface, 2 stuck together. Had to phone the wife and tell her I would be out a bit longer 😊. Still more to come out as the groat fragments I found didn’t match the broken groats. Have a rough idea based on the dig holes where the source is though. Rulers I think are James I, James II, James III, Edward III, Henry V and Henry VI. Groats found in barley stubble in an iron infested area, using the CTX 3030 with 17” coil and Gordon Heritage's Tadpole 4 programme.
