I live in upstate New York where we have some great detecting but for the second year in a row I've made the trip to England. It's just so amazing the history and what you can dig, such was the case this trip. After digging many targets walking across the field, I popped a little round disc and as I cleaned it up I could see the details coming through. I thought it might be Saxon but sent pics and made a phone call to confirm. I was so amazed to hear that it was indeed a Silver Saxon porcupine Sceat from 600AD. I love how well the Equinox does on tiny little targets it is an excellent machine.
