Big news for the history in my local area, after finding a ‘scattered hoard of 21 Roman silver Denarius coins’. This shows that Romans had settled in the area, as previously doubted. I found this hoard with my minelab equinox 800, with the 15” coil. The ground was rock solid but the equinox 800 had no trouble picking up the Roman silver Denarius at 9” deep. I am delighted that these will be going on display at my local museum.
