Meet Ernesto! Ernesto graduated from the Philippine Maritime Institute with a degree in Marine Engineering and this beautiful gold ring in 1968. He migrated to Canada in 1970-1971. He estimates that he lost his gold PMI graduation ring while swimming about 1972 to 1974. That’s around 45 years ago!!! At the end of June, I recovered this ring in 5' of water, and 8" of sand & clay using my Excalibur 1000. The ring had Ernesto’s name inside. I contacted a Pilipino friend from work with Ernesto’s name and thru his connections; he got back to me within two hours with Ernesto's phone number! Last week, he and his wife came over, and some 45 years later, I had the honour of reuniting Ernesto with his long lost ring! Ernesto was very happy and emotional! It was a real pleasure to meet this charming couple! Pretty cool, eh! Cheers Everyone
