Did some research and found a new sight. There was some brick and a little pottery so I looked for the high points on the field.
Pulled a few buttons and then got a monster signal on the CTX 3030 in the middle of nowhere in this field.
I dug a really big plug and scooped the soil out. When I saw it, I thought it was an old can lid and then noticed the reeded edge.
My eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing! I cleaned it with some water in the field and was shocked it was a Morgan silver dollar with date 1879.
Didn't think I would ever find one. Thanks Minelab for making such an excellent machine.
